The award ceremony and marketplace for the Challenge Peru 2009 took place on december 10th

The 4th edition of BiD Challenge Peru, closed on Thursday Dec 10th, with a great event featuring 30 finalist entrepreneurs and a diverse public at the

The 4th edition of BiD Challenge Peru, closed on Thursday Dec 10th, with a great event featuring 30 finalist entrepreneurs and a diverse public at the "Hotel Los Delfines" in Lima. The event was divided in 2 parts; first a "Rueda de Negocios" (Investor MarketPlace) and the Award Event and Cocktail.

The Market Place At the Marketplace 30 motivated finalists had their stands and were available to expose and pitch their businesses to an audience of investors, representatives of NGOs, government and the general public. Many had travelled from far and brought their merchandise to display, mostly accompanied with very clear and seductive investment proposals on the table.

All plans had been assessed by the Peru team and subsequently the Jury the week(s) before, and a selection of winners was made based on live presentations and personal interviews. The Jury was very satisfied with the quality of the participants and their presentations, so it was especially hard to reach a conclusion.



and the winners are

1 Marco Piñatelli, with his project Phangus Moss

2 Michael Verkamp with his project Windaid, El poder del Progreso

3 Nelly Lucy Barandiaran with her project Neluba

4 Ann Pfeifer, with her idea OneFruit, Barra de pulpa de fruta organica

The 5th prize was shared among two entrepreneurs:

Pedro Carrasco with his idea Amazon Ivory

and

Jaime Aranda with his project BARUVA, Alta cocteleria en base a Pisco

They all received cash prices and scholarships for the Graduate School of the Universidad del Pacifico.

Our two winners will be traveling to the Netherlands on 2010 to compete in the international version of the Challenge. Good luck to both of them!
